Introduction

North Carolina Gay Advocacy Legal Alliance (NC GALA) was formed in April, 1994, when approximately 50 North Carolina lawyers met with law students and representatives from lesbian and gay activist groups. The individuals who met decided to form a professional organization for North Carolina's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) attorneys. NC GALA was incorporated in September, 1994. Through its members and activities, the organization provides visibility, support, and advocacy for the LGBT communities. We are a voluntary state-wide non-profit, and non-partisan attorneys' organization.

Our Mission

bullet To establish and maintain a network of LGBT attorneys, and those who support the goals of the organization.
