NC GALA

CLE MANUSCRIPT BOOK – 2004

Now Available:

Are you taking more calls from LGBT clients?

Are you often asked about LGBT legal issues and uncertain of the best advice to give?

Are you looking for a resource which can provide much-needed information in this burgeoning practice area?

Continuing Legal Education seminars are designed to keep attorneys abreast of the shifting legal issues and the present laws affecting them. NC GALA annually sponsors a CLE program that focuses on the legal issues faced by lesbians and gay men in North Carolina.

Our past CLE programs have always been successes where attorneys learn valuable lessons about representing gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, and transgendered clients.

Lawyers face many unique challenges when representing their gay and lesbian clients. For example, gay or lesbian couples cannot take advantage of the traditional estate planning options used by married couples. Lawyers must therefore be prepared to identify and solve the special issues that their lesbian and gay clients present. NC GALA has designed their CLE programs to illuminate these critical issues, as well as many others. Experienced speakers from bench, bar, and campus present a general overview of legal issues for gay and lesbian clients.
