Equality NC

Equality NC is a statewide group dedicated to securing equal rights and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. We work toward that goal by effectively lobbying the NC General Assembly, executive branch, and local governments on issues like inclusive anti-bullying policies, employment discrimination, hate violence, privacy rights, sexuality education, adoption, domestic partnership, HIV/AIDS, and more.

National LGBT Bar Association

The National LGBT Bar Association (An Affiliate of the American Bar Association) is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists, and affiliates of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender legal organizations. The LGBT Bar promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBT community in all its diversity.

Lambda Legal

Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.

National Center for Lesbian Rights

The National Center for Lesbian Rights is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.

Beyond (Straight and Gay) Marriage

Beyond (Straight and Gay) Marriage is a blog by Nancy Polikoff, Professor of Law at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. Nancy has been working on gay and lesbian family law issues for more than 30 years and has published many law review articles and book chapters. BEYOND (STRAIGHT AND GAY) MARRIAGE is her first book.
